デリバリー&買い物代行で、利用者の暮らしをサポート

HOLAXの仕事について教えてください。

テイクアウトメニューのデリバリーと食料品や日用品の買い物代行を行っています。エリアは、北は泉中央から南は長町南まで。提携している飲食店は現在36店舗ほどになり、和食や中華、焼肉、カフェメニューなど、幅広いジャンルの料理をお届けしています。「ピザのデリバリーと合わせて、コンビニで水とパンを買ってきて！」という注文もOKです。
私がこの仕事を始めたきっかけは、妊娠中の妻が大きなお腹を抱えて買い物に行く姿がつらそうだったから。それに加えて宅配サービスはどれも配送料が高かったり、配送が翌日になったりとニーズに合わないものが多く、「それなら」と自分たちでこのサービスを始めることにしました。

－ Please tell us about HOLAX.
We deliver take-out menus and shop groceries and daily necessities. The service area is from the Izumi-Chuou in the north to Nagamachi in the south.
Currently, about 36 affiliated restaurants are offering dishes such as Japanese food, Chinese food, yakiniku, and cafe menus.
You can also order "Get water and bread at a convenience store when you deliver a pizza!"
I started this job because my pregnant wife seemed to have difficulty when she shopped with a big stomach.
In addition, many of the home delivery services do not meet the needs because the shipping fee is high and the delivery is the next day, so we decided to start this service by ourselves.

仕事を軌道に乗せるまで、どんな工夫を取り入れましたか？

まずは、友人や知人にこのサービスの良さを伝えることから始めました。デリバリーを専門とする会社は他にも多くありますが、それに加えて買い物代行まで引き受ける会社は仙台にありませんよね？そのため最初はなかなかイメージを掴みにくいようでした。でも一人ひとりに伝えていくことで「便利だね」とか「すごく活用できそう」という声をいただくことも増え、徐々に理解が広まっていったように思います。これまでにない新しい取組みを理解してもらうには、丁寧に何度も繰り返して説明することが大切だと感じました。

－ What did you do to get your work on track?
I started by telling my friends and acquaintances how good this service is.
It seemed challenging to imagine because many other companies specialize in delivery, but no company in Sendai undertakes shopping agencies.
However, by telling them, the number of people who said it was "convenient" or "it seems to be very useful" increased, and people got to know how convenient this service is.
I felt that it was essential to explain carefully and repeatedly to understand new initiatives that had never been seen before.

アシ☆スタのサポートはいかがでしたか？

留学支援をしている方からの紹介でアシ☆スタを知ったのですが、税金や支払いなどの金銭面からスタッフの雇用、法人化まで、すべてにおいてアシ☆スタのサポートが力になりました。仕事を始めたばかりの頃、私にはまだ理解しづらい難しい日本語も多かったので、専門的な分野の話まで通訳してくれるスタッフさんがいてくれたこともとても心強かったです。ほかにも「アシ☆スタ交流サロン」では、デリバリーの提携先を広めたい私たちのビジネスパートナーに出会う機会になったり、起業前後に必要となる準備を行うことができよかったです。

－ How was Assista's support?
It has helped me immensely from financial aspects such as taxes and payments to staff employment and incorporation.
When I started my business, I still had a hard time understanding the Japanese language, so it was very encouraging to have a staff member who could interpret my specialty topics.
In addition, it was good to have the opportunity to meet our business partners who want to expand their delivery and make the necessary preparations before and after starting a business at the "Assista Exchange Salon."

新型コロナウィルスは、仕事にどんな影響を与えていますか？

多くの皆さんが外出を控えているため、デリバリーや買い物代行の需要はとても増えました。でも、この状況がいつまで続くかはわかりません。だからこそいろんなお店と協力して、“どうしたら困っている利用者を手助けできるか”という視点も合わせて考えるようになりました。きっと一番に不便を感じているのは、ウィルス感染の影響を受けやすいお年寄りの皆さん。サポートについてケアマネージャーさんたちから多くの問合せをいただくようになったこともあり、HOLAXでは新たに「ゴミ出しができない」といった生活の困りごとにも手を差し伸べるようになりました。料理のデリバリーも大切ですが、それと同時に今後も困っている人々のサポートにも力を注いでいきたいです。

－ What impact does COVID- 19 have on your business?
The demand for delivery and shopping agency has increased significantly since many people hesitate to go out. However, nobody knows how long this situation will last.
That's why I came to think about "how can I help the person in need" in cooperation with various stores.
I believe most older people who worry about being susceptible to virus infections should feel inconvenient in their daily lives.
We have received many inquiries from care managers about support, we HOLAX, are now able to reach out to problems in our daily lives, such as taking out the trash.
The delivery of food is essential, but at the same time, I would like to continue to focus on supporting people in need.

起業家からメッセージ

起業は簡単なことではありません。いつ転機が訪れるかわかりませんし、成果が出ないことにも耐えないといけません。それでも、毎日ちゃんとやるべきことをやることが大事なのだと思います。新型コロナウィルスで自粛生活が続き、デリバリーの需要が増えたことで私たちは多くの方にこのサービスを利用してもらえるようになりました。でもその需要も、いつまで続くかは誰にもわかりません。だからこそ目の前のことにしっかりと取組むことが大切なのだと感じています。また、お金を稼ぐことばかり追いかけるのはよくないですね。相手がお客さんでもクライアントでも、“仕事を通して人を助ける”気持ちが大切。その思いが、いずれ会社を大きくさせてくれるのだと思います。

－ Message from the Entrepreneur
Starting a business is not easy because you'll never know when a turning point comes, and you have to endure the lack of results. You have to focus on what you need to do every day.
People had to quarantine under the covid pandemic, and the demand for delivery service has increased.
However, who can tell how long this demand will last? That is why it is important to work hard on each task.
Also, it is not good to put the priority on making money. Whoever you are dealing with, you need to help people through your work, which will eventually make the company grow.
